What does a regular clean cover?

Ten tasks across the whole house, and this is the list the crew works from on every visit. It is what many companies sell as maid service or housekeeping.

Every visit

  • Dust baseboards
  • Dust ceiling fans
  • Clean the stovetop surface
  • Wash the bathrooms
  • Dust blinds
  • Vacuum and mop
  • Dust picture frames
  • Wipe down furniture
  • Clean glass doors, inside and out
  • Make the beds

Walls, doors, cabinet exteriors, the oven, the range hood vent and interior window glass are not on this list. They are on the deep clean list, for the reason the section below explains.

A hallway from a real CPC job. The before and after gallery has six pairs, both frames of each given identical exposure and color adjustment.

Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly?

Each visit costs the same whichever you pick, because the price is per cleaning rather than a monthly plan.

There is no frequency discount and no separate subscription rate, so what changes between the three is how often you are billed, not the rate.

Schedule Cost per visit Visits in a month
Weekly$150Four, sometimes five
Every two weeks$150Two, sometimes three
Monthly$150One

So a house cleaned once a month pays $150 that month. The right frequency is mostly a question of how fast your particular house gets away from you, and that is not something a cleaning company can tell you from the outside. A four-person household with a dog and a two-person household with neither do not need the same rhythm.

What is worth knowing is which way the tradeoff runs. The longer the gap between visits, the more each visit has to do, and past a certain point the house stops being a maintenance job and starts needing a reset again. If the crew is arriving to a house that looks like it has not been cleaned in a month, the schedule is too slow rather than the clean being too light.

You can start on one frequency and move to another. There is no long-term contract, so changing it is a message rather than a renegotiation. Weekday, weekend, and early-morning windows are all available.

What a regular clean is not built to do

Regular cleaning is maintenance. It is a faster, lighter pass designed to hold a home that is already in good shape.

So it will not reach built-up grease, grout, or the dust sitting on vents and blinds. That is what the service is, and it is why it costs half what a deep clean does. A regular visit run on a house that has never had the buildup taken off spends its time working around the problem rather than on it.

How a schedule starts

  1. One deep clean first, if the house is new to us. A deep clean is $300 and covers seventeen tasks, including everything the regular list does not reach. It is CPC's own recommendation, and it is what makes the regular visits afterward come out the way you pictured them.
  2. Pick a frequency. Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, at the same price per visit either way. You can start on one and move to another later.
  3. The same crew, where scheduling allows. CPC keeps the same people on your home when it can. A crew that has cleaned a house before knows where things go and what that house needs, which is most of what makes a recurring schedule worth more than a string of one-off visits.
  4. Adjust it whenever you need to. No long-term contract, so pausing for a month or moving from weekly to bi-weekly is a message rather than a process.

Skipping a visit, and getting ready for one

24 to 48 hours notice cancels or reschedules at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $30 fee.

That window is the standing policy and it applies to every service, not only to a recurring schedule. Pausing the whole schedule works the same way: with no long-term contract behind it there is nothing to cancel and nothing to reactivate, though the same notice window applies to the next visit on the calendar.

Before the crew arrives, one line covers it: clear the surfaces. Toys, clothing, and anything left on the floor are not moved, which is what lets a crew clean rather than tidy around objects. On a recurring schedule this matters more than it sounds, because the same obstructed counter obstructed every visit is a part of the house that never actually gets cleaned.

If you want things sorted and put away rather than cleaned around, organizing is available as a paid extra and it changes the price, so mention it ahead of time. Dishes are separate too, and they are not part of regular, deep, or move-out cleaning. Dishwashing is a $40 add-on you can put on any booking.
