Move-in vs move-out cleaning.
They sound like the same job with the direction reversed, and they get booked as if they were. They are priced differently at CPC, and it is worth knowing which one you are actually asking for before you call.
Move-out cleaning at CPC Cleaning is $400, the base price for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in Bryan or College Station. Move-in cleaning does not share that price. It is quoted per property, so you send the details of the place and get a number back. Both include all cleaning products and equipment.
The difference in one table

|---|---|---|
| Price | $400 base, 3 bed / 2 bath | Quoted per property |

| Whose mess | Yours, on the way out | Somebody else's, on the way in |
| Who inspects it | A landlord, a buyer, or a property manager | You do |

Why move-in is not $400
Because a base price needs a base, and move-in cleaning does not have a reliable one. A move-out is a known quantity. You lived there, so the condition is roughly predictable from the size of the place and how long you were in it, and that is what makes a $400 base price for a 3 bed / 2 bath home honest.
A move-in is not predictable at all. The house might have been professionally cleaned by the last tenant, or it might have sat empty for four months. Quoting that from a table would mean either overcharging the people who got lucky or underquoting the ones who did not. So CPC quotes move-in per property. You send what the place is and what shape it is in, and you get the number before anything is booked. Which one do you need?
Move-out cleaning is for the property you are handing back. It is the one somebody else inspects, and what that inspection actually looks for is worth reading before you plan your last week. It which is why it is the one with the published list: cabinets cleaned inside, the oven and range hood, the refrigerator, interior window glass, and the stove and refrigerator moved to clean behind them.
Move-in cleaning is for the property you are taking on. Nobody is grading it. You are simply not inheriting the last person's kitchen.
If you are moving from one place to another and you want both, that is two properties and two quotes. Say so when you call and you can get them together.
What about the rest?
CPC also cleans apartments and student rentals, Airbnb and short-term turnovers, offices and small commercial spaces, and post-construction work on new builds and remodels. All of those are quoted per property as well, for the same reason move-in is: there is no typical version of them to build a base price from. The three services that carry a published number are regular cleaning at $150, deep cleaning at $300, and move-out at $400.
Frequently asked questions
No. $400 is a move-out price, and move-in does not inherit it. CPC quotes move-in cleaning per property instead, so you send the details of the place and get a number back before anything is booked.
Move-out cleaning is for the property you are leaving, and it is the one a landlord or a buyer inspects. Move-in cleaning is for the property you are taking on, cleaning up after whoever was there before you. If you are doing both, they are two properties and two separate quotes.
The scope is set with your quote rather than from a published list, because move-in cleaning is priced per property. Move-out cleaning does have a published list of twelve tasks, and it is a fair guide to the kind of work involved.
No. CPC brings all cleaning products and equipment to every job, and it is already in the price.
